Ted B. Wacker

Ted Wacker is the owner of his own firm the Law Offices of Ted B. Wacker (TBW Law). He has been a trial attorney involved in litigating cases for over 30 years and a Past-President of the Orange County Trial Lawyers' Association (OCTLA). He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).He specializes in catastrophic injury cases including individual personal injury cases involving accidents, medical malpractice, elder abuse as well as mass tort pharmaceutical and medical device cases.In 2022, the firm had over 10 settlements over 7 figures including one for $8.5 Million.  Mr. Wacker previously settled a brain injury case for $12.65 Million in which the liability of the defendant was hotly contested.  In addition, Mr. Wacker had the two largest settlements for personal injury cases in Orange County in 2014 and 2015 with the cases settling for $7 Million and $8 Million respectively.  Mr. Wacker was previously selected as a CaliforniaSuper Lawyerfrom 2013-2015 and 2017-Present. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates forum and recognized as a top trial attorney by the National Trial Lawyer's for 2012. Mr. Wacker was formerly a partner at the nationally recognized plaintiff's trial firm of Robinson, Calacgnie and Robinson where he was part of the trial team in the national Vioxx litigation which resulted in a record $51 Million verdict in the Barnett trial and a global settlement for all Vioxx cases for $4.65 Billion. He also previously opened the Orange County office of AlderLaw and while there he tried 4 cases to verdict with one settling during trial for more than three times the pre-trial offer and one verdict amount nearly ten times the pre-trial demand.He has previously been a member of the Federal Multi-District Rezulin litigation Science and Expert Committee. In addition, Mr. Wacker has previously served on the Science and Expert Committees of both Baycol and Zyprexa at the state and national-MDL levels. The Baycol and Zyprexa cases resolved for multi-million dollars.He received a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1991, where he received American Jurisprudence Awards in Products Liability and Creditors' Remedies. During law school, he served as a judicial extern in the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One, for the Honorable Patricia Benke.Mr. Wacker is licensed to practice by the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California. He is a member of the American Bar Association, California Bar Association, American Association of Justice (AAJ), Consumer Attorneys' of California (CAOC), Consumer Attorneys' of Los Angeles (CAALA), Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) and has been on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Trial Lawyers' Association (OCTLA) for the past 11 years and a member of the Executive Committee for the past 6 years and currently the Immediate Past President.
