After five years of hard-fought litigation, the court appointed Allison as Class Counsel and granted final approval of the class settlement providing meaningful injunctive relief including health warnings, as well as $38,000,000 to compensate class members. During the final approval hearing, Judge Ethan P. Schulman stated: “I want to commend the parties and counsel for something that is perhaps more complicated and larger than the typical kind of class action settlement that we typically see tendered for approval, at least in State Court, and one to which it’s obvious that very careful attention has been paid and that will result in a real benefit to claimants, and I want to commend you on that”., 2022

- In Re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL 2047, United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. Allison represented hundreds of homeowners in the high-stakes multidistrict litigation involving defective Chinese drywall. Elevated sulfur levels in the defective drywall created an intolerable sulfuric odor and caused adjacent metal to corrode. The case was procedurally complex with hundreds of foreign and domestic defendants and thousands of plaintiffs.
