    • Represented one of the two County Commissioners who charged, along with the presiding County Judge, with Conspiracy to Circumvent the Texas Open Meetings Act. The case, which was heard in Montgomery County’s 221st District Court, alleged that the County Judge, two County Commissioners and a political consultant violated the Texas Open Meetings Act while negotiating details of a road bond. During the court hearings, we questioned expert witnesses and government officials about TOMA. The judge dismissed the case, ruling that the relevant portion of the Texas Open Meetings Act was unconstitutional. , 2017
