Following a trial where the defendant made no offer, Ms. Mulligan and her law partner Brian Findley, obtained a $5.5 million dollar jury verdict. The day following the unanimous verdict, the jury visited the grave of the deceased patient, leaving a note of sympathy and respect for his spouse. Two separate awards were given for this jury verdict, naming Ms. Mulligan "Top Gun in Medical Malpractice" by the Orange County Bar Association and "Trial Star" by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, CASD OCBA
