He attended the St. Mary’s University School of Law and graduated with his J.D. in 2004 when he also passed the Texas bar examination and got licensed to practice law in the state. He clerked at a medical malpractice firm during this tenure and proceeded to try his hand in commercial litigation before locking his focus on criminal law.The successes that followed Mr. Ruiz in his professional career and the dedication he showed to his work were recognized by various prestigious legal organizations, his peers and clients alike.
