Kern A. Lewis

Kern Lewis is dual Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Consumer and Commercial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction that less than half of 1% of Texas lawyers have obtained.  He is also a Board Certified Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has a proven track record with extensive experience in brain injury cases, and he understands the devastating impact that a brain injury can have on someone’s life. He was named a "Top 25 Brain Injury Lawyer" in Texas by the National Trial Lawyers Association.  Over the years in practice, he has dedicated his career to fighting against the negligence of others.In a recent traumatic brain injury case, Mr. Lewis lived with his client for several days to be able to completely understand and experience the impact the injury had on her life.  When he told her story to the jury at trial, he was able to do so as someone who experienced it, not just heard about it.  It made a huge impact. His client received the largest jury verdict ever awarded in that court. But even after the trial and the money was paid, he continued to work with his client and her family members to make sure she was taken care of.Mr. Lewis’ skills as a trial lawyer have earned him local and national recognition by Texas Super Lawyers and Thomson Reuters, as well as by the National Trial Lawyers Association, and Best Lawyers in America.Kern has been inducted into the Order of Barristers and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College.
