    Verdicts/Settlements (Case Results):
    • Throughout 41 years of my legal career, I have tried various cases and settled multiple million-dollar cases. Early in my career in 1984, I went to trial on a serious leg injury case that was settled during trial for $2.5 million which I believe today would equate to approximately $8 million. More recently, my partner Rob Mandell (a super lawyer) worked on a case that went to trial that resulted in a $7 million verdict in 2017. In 2019 I accomplished a $3.5million settlement during trial in a traumatic brain injury case. Also in 2019, I participated in a mass tort resolution in the amount of $10 million In 2020 I settled a construction incident case where the client was struck by a metal pipe and the defendant insurance company offered zero until I proceeded through litigation and just before trial settled for $950,000. During the early summer of 2022, I represented a motorcyclist where the defense argued that the motorcyclist was lane splitting and operating at an excessive rate of speed. I turned the case around to show that the defendant illegally crossed over the HOV lane. The case went from a zero offer to a $500,000 (policy limits) settlement. In the fall of 2022, I settled for $2 million (policy limits) in a heavily litigated leg fracture case wherein the initial offer was $300,000. I am currently writing a supplemental magazine article about dog bite cases and when a harborer/keeper can be held liable for the dog bite.
