- A Harris county jury awarded 10.7M dollars to an oil field worker who was injured when the derrick in which he was working collapsed. The mast had recently been refurbished by a third party. The Plaintiff sustained serious physical injuries and a closed head injury, also know as a traumatic brian injury (TBI). The case was in trial for two weeks before a jury. The Plaintiff sustained severe cognitive deficits and is unable to return to competitive employment., 2011
