    • Published opinion in Doe v. Superior Court (Na Hoku) (2023) 95 Cal.App.5th 346. Successfully sought and received an Order Issuing Alternative Writ of Mandate. Defendant paid arbitration fees late under the new Code of Civil Procedure §1281.98, breaching its arbitration agreement. The Court held that a mailed arbitration check constitutes late payment if the check is not received by the due date., 2023
    • Published opinion in Bassett Unified School District v. Superior Court (Ross) (2023) 89 Cal.App.5th 273. Affirmed lower court’s order denial of disqualification of trial judge based on conduct by another judge.  Disqualification may have resulted in reversal of the plaintiff’s $25 million FEHA retaliation verdict., 2023
    • Ninth Circuit Memorandum Opinion in Merlo v. McDonough. Reversed the district court’s order granting summary judgment on plaintiff’s age discrimination and retaliation claims, and reversed the award of costs to defendant. , 2023
